To never give up in the face of adversity, that's one definition of having heart. One of the most legendary teachers of the cello in history not only had heart, but was the embodiment of dedication to music and his students. Lev Aronson survived years of torture and loss to become an incredible influence over hundreds of musicians. Using music to survive, he brought his particular fiery teaching style to Dallas and created some of the greatest cellists that ever lived.
This week is a chance for serious cellists to learn firsthand what it is like to study in the tradition of Lev Aronson. Players and teachers from across America will come to perform and to teach in the tradition of one of the most brilliant teachers that ever lived. It will be an invaluable experience to be immersed in the atmosphere of S.M.U. Meadows School of the Arts where Lev taught for many years, and to play alongside the most accomplished cellists and pedagogues in the world. Come to this once in a lifetime event to experience the most vocal approach to cello playing in a conservatory atmosphere.
